In 2004 Emil D.Heintzinger retired from a 35 year career as a Sheet Metal Worker and proud member of Sheet Metal Workers Local #12.  In his tenure, he saw union brothers leave the trade to become a business owner only to arrive back on the job a few years later.  Why?  They had the skill of the tradesman, yet had no skill as a business owner.  They found out the hard way that the tools necessary to be a building trades business owner were not tin snips and a screw gun.
